St. Isaac Jogues ~ 1971-1972
This popular voice talent attended St. Isaac Jogues grade school
in St. Clair Shores and graduated in '77 from Notre Dame HS
in Harper Woods where he got his start by impersonating
his principal and other staff over the PA system.
Ten years later, his big break came when he moved into
a house with two men and their children.

I remember seeing him at the Grosse Pointe Woods July 4th fireworks at Parcells School
at Mack and Vernier...after he hit it big on Full House.
He was nice, posing for a photo and chatting with folks. Still a good guy!

My brother was in his class as a freshman before we moved to Troy in the winter of 1973.
I was in the class of 1974. Dave did the announcements and mimiced each teacher but they loved it.
He always gave back to ol' ND after he graduated. I think he changed his name from Couwlier
when he went to L.A. and worked at the Comedy Store.
He did well in his life and never forgets his roots. A good guy.

I once was arrested by the police and put in jail to help raise money for the March of Dimes
and had to call people to donate money to get me out. At the Thank You Dinner,
Dave showed up to thank everyone who was involved in raising money
and performed his comedy act for all of us. A really great guy.

I saw Dave perform at a comedy club on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak.
I remember at one point he took a mouthful of water and pretended to be a rotating sprinkler.

I'm a native Detroiter, a '77 grad of Osborn and a realtor in St. Clair Shores. A few years back,
I showed a waterfront home in SCS owned by Dave Coulier. Until my appointment to show the home,
I didn't know that Dave owned it. When my clients and I found out, we toured the basement and
discovered that Dave had quite a memorabilia collection, especially of his "Full House" days. Until then,
we never knew there were dolls of the "Full House" family. We were thrilled to have stumbled
upon his little museum, which had many photos on display.
Unfortunately, the home didn't meet my clients' needs and was sold to someone else.
