Wow... I love this game!  Though I hardly recognize Downtown Detroit anymore, I think this could be Michigan Ave, & Griswold.
I vaguely remember an optometry store (Admiral's Optical where my mom would buy my eye glasses) in that vicinity. We used to always stop in Kinsel's on the way to the optometrists.

How about Michigan and Griswold?  I remember Kinsel's as being the only 24 hour store around.  Seems we always found ourselves there at the last minute on Christmas Eve because something was forgotten or got broken.

I believe it is Michigan Ave. & Griwold. Kinsel Drugs later became  Paul's Cut Rate Drugs. Right across the street from Lafayette and American Coney. No longer there but occupied by new parking garage for the restored Book Cadillac.

I'm sure the intersection is the northwest corner of Michigan Ave & Griswold. The picture is looking from City Hall.

I haven't lived in Detroit for many years but this looks like the corner of Michigan and Griswold in downtown Detroit. The bus is turning right onto Michigan Ave.

The intersection shown is Griswold and Michigan Ave.

My mother worked at the Brass Rail in the '40s...a few years before
I was born. Also, her wedding band was bought at Stone Jewelers.
